Da Bloody Twenty – October 23

October 23, 2008

Da Bloody Twenty is a weekly countdown of the 20 most interesting, well-written or weirdest Warhammer Online articles and posts… to me.

Twenty…

Welcome to the Community: The Lynx War, WARDojo, and Crazy Warhammer!

Nineteen…

“Launch Party” @ Josh Drescher – Hey Dresch! Where was my invite?

Eighteen…

“The Phrases” @ The Inevitable City – Holy moley, that’s a lot of quotes!

Seventeen…

“What You Lookin’ At Fool?” @ Chappo’s Corner – Hey, what can I say? I’m easily amused.

Sixteen…

“Thoughts on Scenarios” @ Denizens of Xibalba – I like this line of thought, looking at scenarios as “points per time” in terms of efficiency.

Fifteen…

“New MMOs Need Time To Shine” @ Brave Pidge’s – Are we rushing to judge a little too soon, or is the onus on the game companies to hook us right away?

Fourteen…

“How WAR Saved Me From WoW” @ Soramimi Keki – A funny little testimonial about a girl’s entry into WAR.

Thirteen…

“Play Warhammer Online on your MacBook 2008” @ WARDojo – Never tell a geek something can’t be done.

Twelve…

“How Smart Can A Contribution Measurement Be?” @ Book of Grudges – I know! It doesn’t measure how my mere presence picks people’s spirits up!

Eleven…

“RvR Lake Public Quests” @ The Greenskin – Did WAR already have open RvR incentives in beta?

Ten…

“Learn to Accept My Reward” @ Killed in a Smiling Accident” – How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat?

Nine…

“What if you had a WAR and no one showed up?” @ Potshot – Great ideas how to invigorate interest into open world RvR.

Eight…

“A Pocket Guide to Pocket Items” @ Ground Zero – I’ve got something in my front pocket for you, why don’t you reach inside it and see what it is?

Seven…

“Questing, Persistence, WAR” @ Stylish Corpse – Curse you, Foozles! Curse you all!

Six…

“State of the Game Interview” @ TTH – A good follow-up to Mark Jacob’s previous announcements.

Five…

“Mark Davis Dev Diary” @ The Herald – Witch Hunters, Witching Night and the seedy side of WAR.

Four…

“State of WAR” @ /random – A good analysis of the ups and downs of the first month.

Three…

“Toe-to-Toe: Warhammer Online’s Color and Dye System” @ Stunty Stomper – If you like Crayola, you’ll like this game.

Two…

“Tome of Knowledge Index” – Everything you need to know about your favorite unlocks, all in one happy place.

One…

“State of the Game” @ The Herald – Too much goodness to contain within a pithy sentence.

Bonus…

Mutant Reviewers From Hell – If you like my writing on this blog and you’re a fan of weird cult movies, pop on over to Mutant Reviewers where me and a great group of friends tackle the best and worst oddball flicks on a daily basis!

  2. So what’s your handle on the MRFH site?

  3. NM, should have looked harder 🙂

  4. Thank you for this post, I had no idea there were so many WAR blogs. I thought of starting one myself (a blog), but there are already so many, most of which share my views anyway, that it would be pointless and probably not add much.

Thank you for you great blog, and all the rest of the WAR blogers out there.

  5. Awww, awesome ^^ thank you for the link!

  6. And a Wall quote too, hurrah! Unless you were just talking generally about non-pudding giving, can’t argue with that.

  7. Thanks for the link! Much appreciated. Hope to repay you in the future.
